1.How similar is the MBLEx Check to the MBLEx?

 The MBLEx Check, an online readiness assessment, is designed to simulate the MBLEx experience in the length of time, number of questions, and exam content.

2.Is the MBLEx Check a Computer Adaptive Test (CAT)?

No, it is not. The questions are presented randomly from a larger item bank and are not customized to the candidate’s ability.

3.Where can I access the MBLEx Check?

You can access the MBLEx Check through FSMTB’s Regulatory Education and Competence Hub (REACH) at www.reach4ce.org.

4. What topic areas will be covered in the MBLEx Check?

The practice exam features the same topic distribution as the MBLEx, which is as follows:

-Anatomy & Physiology (11%)

-Kinesiology (12%)

-Pathology, Contraindications, Areas of Caution, Special Population changes (14%)

-Benefits and Physiological Effects of Techniques that Manipulate Soft Tissue changes (15%)

-Client Assessment, Reassessment and Treatment Planning (17%)

-Ethics, Boundaries, Laws, and Regulations (16%)

-Guidelines for Professional Practice (15%)

5.How much does the MBLEx Check cost?

$25 per attempt.

6.How long will I have access to the MBLEx Check?

You will have access to MBLEx Check for 1 year from the date of registration.

7.How many times may I take the MBLEx Check?

You may take it as many times as you would like; however, you will need to pay $25 per attempt. If you wish you purchase more attempts within your 365-day time frame, please contact us at info@fsmtb.org.

8.How long do I have to complete the MBLEx Check?

You will have 110 minutes to complete the exam.

9.How many questions are on the MBLEx Check?

There are 100 multiple choice questions with four answer choices per question.

10.Will I be able to change an answer once I have completed a question?

You will be allowed to return to a question once you have moved on.

11.Will I be able to save and return to my exam at a later date?

You can save your progress and complete the exam at a later time however, it must be completed in 110 minutes.

12.Will I be able to see my exam results?

Once you complete the MBLEx Check, you will be able to review your results in each content area to help you prepare for the MBLEx. 

13.Will my results be available on REACH once I have completed the MBLEx Check?

Your exam results will be available after you exit the MBLEx Check.

14.Will the questions on the MBLEx Check be on the MBLEx?

None of the questions on the MBLEx Check are on the MBLEx.

15.Will I pass the MBLEx if I do well on the MBLEx Check?

Passing the MBLEx Check does not guarantee you will pass the MBLEx.

16.Is the MBLEx Check refundable?

No, the MBLEx Check fee is not refundable in part or in full.

17.Will FSMTB accept feedback on the MBLEx Check?

Yes, FSMTB welcomes your feedback. Once you complete the MBLEx Check, you will be asked to take a short survey. There is a section for feedback that you may fill out.

18.Why can’t I take the MBLEx Check for free?

There are several factors that determined the price of this practice exam. We have factored in such things as the cost of development, technology, and system hosting. We have kept the fee as low we can at this time.

19.Why do I need to pay for each attempt?

While the MBLEx Check is great to add to any study program, it is not a standalone study tool. It is meant to be a “readiness assessment.” That is, the purpose of the MBLEx Check is to gauge your readiness for the MBLEx itself.
