In this course, learners will explore cultural biases and the inherent prejudice and discrimination that result. A variety of different types of biases will be addressed, as well as the concepts of privilege, and an exploration of how bias and privilege affect our society at large. These topics will then be explored in relation to massage and bodywork and how massage and bodywork professionals can be aware and cognizant of their actions and the actions of others.
